Great Norwegian Epic Review for Family Cruising

February 4, 2011

Just read a great review on the Family Travels Blog about the Norwegian Epic.  Despite some debate on ship décor and controversy over the value of the compartmentalized bathroom (see Travel Weekly for buzz on the toilet situation), the Family Travels Blog rates Norwegian Epic as a great value for famly entertainment.

Highlighted in the blog article are all the many entertainment venues that the Norwegian Epic offers, including Nickelodean’s Slime Time Live and the Epic Plunge and rock wall for kids, a casino, spa and fitness center for adults, and a variety of shows, such as the Blue Man Group and Second City Comedy.

The Family Travels Blog points out that where the Norwegian Epic really stands out is in pricing.  She noted in her blog that a balcony room during Thanksgiving Week 2011 for a family of four costs approximately $3,250 on the Norwegian Epic, whereas a similar cruise on the Royal Caribbean Oasis will run approximately $5,135.  Of course, there are differences between the two ships, but that’s quite a savings that Norwegian Epic offers.

Thanks for breaking down the details on the Norwegian Epic.   Sounds like a great value for families!
