Take the Kids to Disneyland Paris Resort While in Europe

January 17, 2011

Many have asked me if Disneyland Paris Resort is worth a visit while vacationing with the family in Paris.  While it of course depends on the interests and itinerary of each individual family, overall I highly recommend the park as a wonderful kid-focused break on a European adventure.  I have had the good fortune to visit Disneyland Paris three times now with my husband and kids and we love it!

Disneyland Paris  is just about 40 minutes by train from Paris city center.  The RER commuter train (Line A) lets you out right outside the park at the Marne-la-Vallee station.  Disneyland Paris Resort consists of two theme parks, Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios, as well as Disney Village shopping, entertainment and restaurant district, and several Disney themed hotels.  If time permits, spend a couple of nights at the park to enjoy all Disneyland Paris Resort has to offer.   Kids of all ages will enjoy the rides and entertainment and Disney fans will certainly be charmed by what’s known as the most beautiful of all the Disney parks.

If you are planning a visit to Disneyland Paris Resort, do yourself a favor and go on a weekday.  The locals come in droves on Saturday and Sunday and line wait times can be overwhelming on the weekend.  If you can, check out the park during Halloween or Christmas time when it is decked out with festive decorations and features holiday entertainment.  Disneyland Paris can be a magical addition to a European family vacation!
